Upcoming Letter Day


  • Yesterday our Robotics team traveled to Milton, DE and participated in the 2020 “Bots at the Beach Tournament.” The SMS Over-Drivers Team were the MIDDLE SCHOOL CHAMPIONS!!
    The team members are: Luis Carrasco, Mike Huang, and Austin Loar (Coach: Sheila Loar)
    They will compete next at Championships on March 7, 2020. Congratulations Over-Drivers!!!  

    On Saturday at Mardela Middle & High School over 50 students from Wicomico County participated in the first annual All-County Orchestra audition. I'm pleased to announce that we had many students at Salisbury Middle School make it into this orchestra! These students worked very hard to prepare for this opportunity. These students will perform with the All-County orchestra on March 6th at Wicomico High School. Please help us in congratulating these amazing musicians!

    A few Other Reminders:

    • Schools will be closed on Monday, January 27th for a Professional Day.
    • Families please check with your child to be certain they still have a lock for the lockers in order to keep belongings and cell phones out of the classroom.  
    • Each child will receive a new schedule prior to the semester ending.

    On Tuesday, January 28, 2020 we invite all Salisbury Middle School families to join us for our Community Connections/PTA Visitation Night from 5:00 – 7:00 pm.

    Area businesses and organizations will be here to share information with our students and families to help our students become familiar with different careers and future opportunities.

    Families will also have an opportunity to visit with their child’s teachers in their classrooms. And, we will be serving pizza to those families that participate in our planned activities.

    For us to properly plan for this evening, we ask that you return the bottom portion of the letter that will be sent home tomorrow.
