Weekly Announcement

Grade 6 families, Superstar t-shirt orders are still being accepted until Wednesday September 18th and if you would like to place an order or need a new order form, please contact Mrs. Hare.

Grade 7 families we have approximately 60 students that do not have their updated immunizations records for the 2019-2020 school year. Please be sure to get these turned in as soon as possible. You can contact our school nurse Kelly Bennett if you are unsure of your student’s immunization status. If your child does not have all immunization records up to date by September 23, they will not be allowed to attend class.

Just a reminder that our Joe Corbi’s fundraiser is currently underway. All funds raised through this will be used for student activities including after school clubs, sports, and in school incentives. Students that sell 5 or more items will be eligible to attend an open gym session during their lunch shift on a date that will be announced at a later time. Students may also earn gift cards and other prizes depending on how many units are sold. Delivery of all items ordered will be on October 23rd from 3 to 6 pm. Brochure Prize Brochure

We are encouraging our students to “strive for less than 5” absences for the entire school year. Please be advised that any student that misses 5 or more school days during a single marking period will fail all courses for that marking period unless they participate in an attendance intervention plan with school administration on Tuesdays and Thursdays after school. Families, this means that you will need to be prepared to provide alternate transportation for your student.

Our free after school tutoring sessions will begin this week. Students can pick up forms for this in the main office. Students must have a signed permission slip and an alternate method of transportation to participate in these sessions. In addition to our free tutoring sessions we will be offering free after school clubs. Cross country started last week, dodgeball, arts and crafts club and maker space will start the last week in September and we are planning to offer many more clubs in the coming days for our students.
