UMBC GIRLS IN ENGINEERING VIRTUAL EVENT

UMBC GIRLS IN ENGINEERING VIRTUAL EVENT
Girls in Engineering

The UMBC Center for Women in Technology (CWIT) is now accepting registrations for our first ever BLAST Off (Building Lasting Academic Success in Tech) virtual event on Saturday, March 6, 2021, from 10am-1pm. This is an interactive event for 9th and 10th grade girls to learn about tech, CWIT, and UMBC’s computing and engineering programs. This will be a great opportunity for participants to ask questions about college and play informative/fun games with new friends!

Components of the day will include: Time with current college students to learn more about computing and engineering student organizations and activities available in college, learning more about what to expect if you become a computing or engineering major, and participating in fun computing and/or engineering activities.

Please use this form to RSVP to the event by Wednesday, March 3, 2021. A confirmation email with the link to join the event and other details will be sent by Friday, March 5.

Please direct questions to Cindy Greenwood, CWIT Assistant Director, at cindyg@umbc.edu.
