Beaver Run Elementary

Beaver Run Elementary 1st-grade classes present a Thanksgiving Program on Monday, Nov. 25 and Tuesday, Nov. 26. On Nov. 25, classes of Mrs. Powell and Mrs. Swift will perform at 1:30 p.m., and classes of Mrs. Peters and Ms. Mitchell will perform at 3 p.m. On Nov. 26, classes of Ms. Albers and Mrs. Spence will perform at 1:30 p.m., and classes of Ms. Dulin and Ms. McGee will perform at 3 p.m. 410-677-5101

Beaver Run Elementary Kindergarten classes will present the Kindergarten Holiday Program on the Centre at Salisbury stage outside Boscov’s. On Tuesday, Dec. 17 at 1 p.m., classes of Ms. Spann, Mrs. Johnson, Ms. Bowden and Ms. Avens will perform. Prekindergarten students at Beaver Run Elementary’s Young Avenue Early Learning Center campus will hold their winter show: “The Tale of the Gingerbread Man” on Tuesday, Dec. 10, at 6 p.m. in the gymnasium of East Salisbury Elementary.

 

Charles H. Chipman Elementary

The Charles H. Chipman Elementary program will be at 5 p.m. Monday, Dec. 9 at Chipman Elementary. Admission free. 410-677-5814

 

Delmar Elementary

The Delmar Elementary Singing Bobcats will perform in the Delmar Christmas Parade at noon on Saturday, Dec. 7.

The 2019-2020 Wicomico Teacher of the Year, Shane Morton of Delmar Elementary, will be part of the entry from Wicomico County Public Schools in the Salisbury Christmas Parade at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 8. Watch for her in her Wicomico Teacher of the Year SUV, provided for her use this year by Hertrich Family of Automobile Dealerships.

The Delmar Elementary Winter Program, featuring students in 2nd and 3rd grades, will take place at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 12 in the Delmar Elementary cafeteria. Please plan to arrive by 6:10 p.m. for this concert, which will last no more than an hour. Admission free. 410-677-5178

 

East Salisbury Elementary

The East Salisbury Elementary Winter Concert will be Monday, Dec. 9 at 6 p.m. in the school gym. Performing will be 5th-grade string students and the 3rd-Grade Chorus. Admission is free, and the event is open to the public. 410-677-5803

 

Fruitland Primary

Fruitland Primary 2nd-Graders will be celebrating the holidays at the City of Fruitland Tree Lighting at Fruitland City Hall on Monday, Dec. 2 at 6:30 p.m. The singers will perform two holiday favorites to get everyone in the holiday spirit. Free public event. 410-677-5171

 

Fruitland Intermediate

Fruitland Intermediate does not have a December concert or program. Watch for word of future programs and concerts at our school!

 

Glen Avenue Elementary

Glen Avenue Elementary will be putting on a musical at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 17 at the school. Free admission. 410-677-5806

 

North Salisbury Elementary

Members of North Salisbury Elementary’s choir will bring a tone of Winter Wonderland to the Salisbury Christmas Parade on board “A Mustang’s Winter” float. The Salisbury Christmas Parade will take place at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 8.

The North Salisbury School Winter Chorus Concert will take place on Wednesday, Dec. 11 at 6 p.m. It will feature classic holiday favorites, as well as some new pieces celebrating this time of year. 410-677-5807

The North Salisbury Elementary 5th Grade Band and String Orchestra “Rockin’ the Holidays” winter concert will be at 6 p.m. Monday, Dec. 16 in the school multipurpose room. The orchestra will play “Up on the Housetop”, “Jolly Old Saint Nicholas”, and several other holiday favorites. The band will play a “Folk Song Sing Along” and some traditional December favorites. Northwestern Elementary

Northwestern Elementary School’s 1st- and 2nd-graders will present "December Lights" at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 9, at the school.  We will celebrate the many beautiful lights that make the holidays merry and bright! Free. 410-677-5808

 

Pemberton Elementary

Pemberton’s Winter Spectacular program will be on Tuesday, Dec. 17 at 6 p.m., following the PTA meeting at 5:30pm. Pemberton 5th-Grade Band students and 3rd-Grade Chorus students will be performing. Admission free. 410-677-5809

 

Pinehurst Elementary

Pinehurst Elementary’s chorus sang at the City of Salisbury’s Tree Lighting on Friday, Nov. 15.

Pinehurst Elementary’s chorus and continuing orchestra will present a winter concert on Wednesday, Dec. 4 at 6 p.m., in the large gym at Pinehurst. Free admission. 410-677-5810

Pinehurst Elementary will present a holiday musical, The Very Very Gingerbread Man, on Wednesday, Dec. 11 at 6 p.m. in the large gym at Pinehurst. The performance will feature 1st- and 2nd-Grade classes and the Drama Club. Free admission. 410-677-5810

 

Prince Street Elementary

Students from Prince Street Elementary will participate and perform in the Pocomoke Christmas Parade at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 3 (rain date; parade was originally scheduled for Monday, Dec. 2) and in the Salisbury Christmas Parade on Sunday, Dec. 8 at 2 p.m. Prince Street invites you to their Country Christmas Jamboree, with Principal Miller’s Christmas Tree Farm and the Reindeer School of Music, featuring the Rhythm and Roots Squad under the direction of Mr. Dustin Thomas. Joining the party are farmers, trees and starlight mints.

On Monday, Dec. 9 at 6 p.m., Prince Street Elementary School will host its annual Winter Program featuring scholars from 1st and 2nd grades, as well as members from our chorus. The program this year is titled “A Winter Fantasy,” and it is a short play about the joys of the seasons throughout the year. The Prince Street Chorus will also be accompanying the play and will sing two fun-filled holiday songs at the conclusion of the play. 410-677-5813

Westside Intermediate

Watch for some Westside Intermediate students and staff as part of the Wicomico County Public Schools entry in the Salisbury Christmas Parade on Sunday, Dec. 8 at 2 p.m.

The Westside Intermediate School Band presents “Rockin’ the Holidays” on Wednesday, Dec. 11 at 2:30 p.m. in the school auditorium. Parents and friends are invited to join us! 410-677-5118

Come on out Thursday, Dec. 12 to hear the Westside Intermediate 2nd- and 3rd-grade choir sing songs about the snow. The event will begin at 6 p.m. at Westside Intermediate. Free admission, no tickets. 410-677-5118

 

Willards Elementary

Watch for Wonderful Willards Elementary as part of the Wicomico County Public Schools entry in the Salisbury Christmas Parade on Sunday, Dec. 8 at 2 p.m. Some Willards students and staff will be in the parade, along with Darcy the Dolphin.

Willards Elementary will present “Norbert the Narwhal’s North Pole Neighbors” on Monday, Dec. 9 at 6 p.m. This arts-integrated show ties in Wicomico County’s kindness theme as well as the school’s focus on Continents of the World. Free admission. 410-677-5819

 

Pittsville Elementary and Middle

The Pittsville Middle Marching Band will perform in the Pittsville Christmas Parade on Saturday, Nov. 30 at 6 p.m.

The Pittsville Elementary 5th-Grade and 6th-Grade beginning band and the 5th-Grade string students will proudly demonstrate what they have learned so far this year at their Holiday Program in the Pittsville Elementary and Middle School cafetorium on Wednesday, Dec. 4 at 7 p.m. Free. 410-677-5811

The Pittsville Elementary and Middle School Choir program “A Cinematic Season” will be performed at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 5 in the Parkside High School Auditorium. Admission is free. 410-677-5811

The Pittsville Middle Marching Band will perform in the Salisbury Christmas Parade on Sunday, Dec. 8 at 2 p.m.

Pittsville Middle 8th-Grade band students will travel to the Holly Center in Salisbury Tuesday, Dec. 10 to play some holiday small ensemble and solo pieces that they have prepared for the residents.

The Pittsville Middle School band will perform the holiday concert on Thursday, Dec. 12 at 7 p.m. in the Parkside High School Auditorium. This concert will feature the 6th-Grade advanced band, the 7th and 8th-grade band, and the Wildcat Marching Band. Admission is free. 410-677-5811

 

Bennett Middle

The Bennett Middle Marching Band will perform in the Salisbury Christmas Parade on Sunday, Dec. 8 at 2 p.m.

The Bennett Middle 6th and 7th Grade Chorus will present its holiday concert Tuesday, Dec. 10 at 7 p.m. in the James M. Bennett Auditorium. Admission is $2 (children 5 and under free of charge); tickets may be purchased at the door. 410-677-5140

The Bennett Middle School 7th and 8th Grade concert bands will present their December program on Wednesday, Dec. 11 at 7 p.m. at Bennett Middle. Tickets are $2. 410-677-5140

Bennett Middle’s 6th-grade concert band will perform its December program at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 18 at the school. Admission is $2. 410-677-5140

Bennett Middle Orchestra performs at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 19 on the cafetorium stage at Bennett Middle School. The program will feature holiday favorites such as “Carol of the Bells” and “Sleigh Ride” as well as medleys of other holiday favorites. There is no charge to attend this concert. 410-677-5140

 

Salisbury Middle

The Salisbury Middle School Marching Eagle Band will debut its 2019 parade routine in the Salisbury Christmas Parade at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 8.

The string programs of Salisbury Middle School and Mardela Middle and High School will present their Winter Program on Wednesday, Dec. 11 at 7 p.m. in the cafetorium at Salisbury Middle School. The Salisbury Middle School 6th-Grade Band and 7th/8th Symphonic Band will present their combined Winter Concert on Tuesday, Dec. 17 at 7 p.m. on stage in the Salisbury Middle School cafeteria. Admission to the concert is free, however donations are gratefully accepted. 410-677-5149

The Salisbury Middle School Winter Chorus Concert will take place on Wednesday, Dec. 18 for all choruses at SMS, in the cafeteria of Salisbury Middle. At 6 p.m. the 6th-Grade Chorus will perform. James M. Bennett High

The James M. Bennett High School Symphonic Band will help kick off the holidays at the City of Fruitland’s Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony at Fruitland City Hall on Monday, Dec. 2 at 6:30 p.m. Free public event. 410-677-5141

The James M. Bennett High Marching Band and Color Guard will perform at the annual Salisbury Christmas Parade, held on Sunday, Dec. 8 at 2 pm. Their parade song is Sounds of Christmas, and it is a medley of Good King Wenceslas and O Come, All Ye Faithful.

Representatives of the James M. Bennett High Rock & Roll Revival will take a walk on the country side for the Salisbury Christmas Parade, 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 8.

James M. Bennett High Orchestra will perform at 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 9 in the James M Bennett Auditorium. Music will include “Silver Bells” and “Habanera Hanukah.” 410-677-5141

The Concert Choir and Intermediate Choir of James M. Bennett High School will present a Winter Concert at 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 13 in the James M. Bennett Auditorium. Admission is free. 410-677-5141

The James M. Bennett High School Symphonic and Concert Bands, under the direction of Mr. Douglas L. Miles, will present the annual Holiday Band Concert at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 19 in the JMB Auditorium. The Concert Band will perform first with holiday favorites including Santa Claus Is Coming to Town and Wonderful Christmastime. The JMB Symphonic Band will then perform with excerpts from The Nutcracker Suite arranged by Claire Johnson. Other selections on the program include The Christmas Song arranged by Jerry Nowak and Ukrainian Bell Carol arranged by Richard Saucedo. The Bennett Band will also play Leroy Anderson’s classic Sleigh Ride and their parade song: Sounds of Christmas; a medley of Good King Wenceslas and O Come, All Ye Faithful.  Admission is always free. 410-677-5141

 

Parkside High

The Parkside High School Marching Band will perform in the Salisbury Christmas Parade on Sunday, Dec. 8 at 2 p.m.

Parkside High School orchestra will perform a winter concert at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 11 in the Parkside Auditorium. Musical selections will include “A Yuletide Rag” and “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.” 410-677-5143

Parkside High School presents its Holiday Concert “Sounds of the Season,” featuring the Parkside Symphonic Band, Intermediate Choir, Freshmen Honors Choir and Concert Choir, at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 17 in the Parkside Auditorium. This Parkside High School Band and Choral Concert will feature pieces such as Sing Out, It’s Christmas, Cold Snap, and I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day. Admission is free with donation of one canned good per each guest for the Maryland Food Bank. Again this year, we will hold a silent auction on decorated Christmas trees, sponsored by the Parkside Student Government Association. All proceeds from the auction will go to the Bless Our Children campaign. Wicomico High

The Wicomico High School Marching Band will perform in the Salisbury Christmas Parade on Sunday, Dec. 8 at 2 p.m.

The Wicomico High School JROTC will perform as a marching unit in the Salisbury Christmas Parade on Sunday, Dec. 8 at 2 p.m. The Drill Team will march in the Snow Hill Christmas Parade on Monday, Dec. 9. at 7 p.m.

The Wicomico High School Winter Program will take place Thursday, Dec. 19 at 7 p.m. in the Wicomico High School Auditorium. The program will include performances by the WiHi Choirs, Bands, and Orchestra. Band cards ($5) will be sold in the lobby. Admission is free. 410-677-5146

 

Wicomico County Public Schools

You’ll know the entry from Wicomico County Public Schools is coming down the parade route when you see the big yellow school bus! Participating in the entry this year for Wicomico Schools, in addition to the decorated school bus: 2019-2020 Wicomico Teacher of the Year Shane Morton, Willards Elementary students and staff with Darcy the Dolphin, and Westside Intermediate students and staff. The school will also be well represented by the Wicomico High School JROTC, marching bands from all Wicomico middle schools and high schools, Prince Street and the Country Christmas Jamboree, North Salisbury Elementary with “A Mustang’s Winter,” and the James M. Bennett High School Rock & Roll Revival.
