March 19 and 20 InView Cognitive Abilities Test for 2nd-Grade Non-Public Students; Must Register by March 14
The InView Cognitive Abilities Test will be administered March 19 and 20 for any remaining 2nd-Grade non-public students who would like their child considered for the Magnet Program and/or Gifted and Talented program in Wicomico County Public Schools for the next school year.
This testing will take place from 8:30-10:30 a.m. on both March 19 and 20 in the Wicomico Schools Central Office at 2424 Northgate Drive, Suite 100, Salisbury. Parents and guardians of 2nd-Grade students must register their student in advance to take the two-day Inview Cognitive Abilities Test on these dates.
Students must be registered by March 14 in order to take the InView. To register, please contact Ms. LaShaunda Smith at 410-677-4533 by 4 p.m. Thursday, March 14. For questions, please call Mrs. Ruby Brown at 410-677-4519.
InView assesses cognitive abilities including verbal reasoning, sequences, analogies, and quantitative reasoning. The results of the assessment will be utilized to help determine each student’s appropriate academic placement, including eligibility to participate in the Magnet Program, an accelerated and enhanced learning program for students in grades 3 through 5, and the Gifted and Talented (TAD – Thinking and Doing) program. The InView opportunity was also provided to the community in December, on the same days that all WCPS 2nd-grade students took the assessment.
