Good evening families, this is Mr. Dunn with information for the week of 5/29/23.     

The last day to purchase Grade 8 dance tickets will be tomorrow, Tuesday, May 30th during the lunch shift. Tickets are $5. This is a farewell dance for our 8th grade students and will take place on June 2nd from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. We hope to make it a special night the kids will remember as they move to high school next year.

Parents and students, we will start collecting laptops on or around June 5th from all students. Please assist your child in locating his/her chargers and laptops otherwise students will receive fines for the lost items. 

All library books were due back to Salisbury Middle School’s media center this past Friday, May 26th. Please remind your students to return their library books as their library account will follow them throughout their time in Wicomico County Public Schools.     

Salisbury Middle School will be hosting a PBIS carnival for our students on Thursday, June 8th. More details to follow, but students need to continue to display good behavior and earn eagle bucks to be spent during the carnival for rides and snacks.  

Grade 6 Students Only - Important message for all 6th grade parents whose student still needs their Tdap and Meningitis  vaccines to start 7th grade in Sept. You may contact The Wicomico Co Health Dept to inquire about their summer clinics. You can call 410-749-1244 to make an appointment for these vaccines. Please remember to bring an updated copy back to SMS. Any questions please call Nurse Kellie at 410-677-5120

• 8th Grade Dance Tickets will be sold at lunch.
• Attendance Recovery with S.K. Jones 2:45-3:30 in C136. 
• Tutoring (Math 8 & Algebra 1) with Mr. Wharton 3:00-4:00 in E238.

Wednesday, 5/31/23: 

• Final Maker Space/Open Library with Mrs. Ellis 3;00-4:00. Students may arrive at 2:45.  
• Spring Choir Concert with Ms. Graver 5:30-8:00 in Café. 

Thursday, 6/1/23:

• NJHS Induction Ceremony (Student Inductions) 6:00-7:00 in Café.

Friday, 6/2/23:

• 8th Grade Dance 6:00-8:00 in Café.
