Parent Message 6-8

Good day Clipper families, this is Principal Savage with your weekly message.

Students only have this week left to complete any work they have from the time we began the school closure.  Please encourage your student not to wait until the last minute even though they have until Friday to finish up.  Friday also marks the last day of school for students.

Today from 3-5 we ask that 10th graders and 11th graders bring any school items they have and drop them off in the A-wing parking lot.  When you enter the A-wing please locate the orange bins and boxes.  You will need to park and then place the items you are returning in the bins and boxes provided.

For those of you who filled out the google form to pick up valuable items left in the building that will take place in the main parking lot near our E-wing doors.

We will repeat the same drop off and pick up process tomorrow from 3-5 for 9th graders.

We ask that you put the items you are returning in a bag and attach the students name to the bag.

Did you know that you can go onto parent portal and make sure your schedule requests for next year are correct?  Don’t wait until fall as then you would have to complete a request and wait for guidance to get back to you to make the change.  The start of school is always very busy so avoid the line and check what request are listed for you.  If you see something that needs adjusted contact, your guidance counselor.  The directions for locating the request is attached to the email.

Contained in the email portion of this message is information about some adjustments for SATs.

Registration for August, September, and October SAT administrations will open for all students on June 3 at 8 p.m. If you are unable to find a seat in a test center near you, please check other dates. CollegeBoard is working closely with communities to open up as many testing locations and seating capacities as possible. Don't forget, when registering for a test, to also look into other counties and into Delaware locations as you may be able to find a seat for a test in Berlin and Laurel, DE. If CollegeBoard sees a need they will likely continue to add more testing dates but keep in mind that colleges are rightfully being flexible with their testing requirements. Check college websites to get the most accurate information on their policies and deadlines. Right now, the testing dates are:

August 29, 2020

September 26, 2020

October 3, 2020

November 7, 2020

December 5, 2020

Thank you everyone and have a great week.
