Parent Message 5-18

Good morning Clipper families, this is Principal Savage with your weekly message.

We have an exciting week ahead of us as we will be allowing seniors to come to the Shipyard and complete a diploma cover walk with photos that will be compiled to create our 2020 graduation. Graduation will then air on May 30th at 2:30 on PAC14 and YouTube.  Currently it looks like we might have some weather challenges for the start of the week but hopefully, we can get all students photographed by the end of this week.

As a result of the graduation walks administration will be out of the office for most of this week.  I encourage you that if you have any questions about your student that you reach out to their teacher and guidance.  In the email version of this message is the contact list for the guidance counselors.

The deadline to order a yearbook has been extended until June 1st.  If you would like to order a yearbook go to balfour.com and select James M. Bennett High School.

We have one last round of work that will be available digitally on the 26th and the non-digital material will be available at school on the 26th from 3-5 and the 27th from 9-11.  Due to school not reopening, please bring with you any paper packets you have completed on the 26th and 27th.  This will allow us to get your work verified for your teachers.

As we get closer to the end of the school year which is tentatively set for June 12th, you will be given more information about the collection of items that need return to the school as well as how to access any valuable items that students may have been left in the school building.  Again, as we get closer to the last day, more information will be coming.

Thank you everyone and have a great week.
