January Testing Announcement

We will be holding MCAP assessments in Algebra I, English 10, Government, and Science MISA in January. If a student took any of those exams last year and did not successfully pass them, they will test in January in their second attempt to pass. Students taking those classes for the first time this school year will not be assessed until May.

Students who need to take one or more state assessments in January will be notified. Students should prepare for these assessments so they may pass them this time around. Students are being provided support in classes, but we also suggest students participate in afterschool tutoring. Similarly, handheld calculators will not be provided for the Algebra I assessment beginning with this administration. We encourage students to familiarize themselves with the computer-based calculators that they will be allowed to use during the test and the link can be found on our school’s website.

January testing will take place during the regular school day with regular school hours for all students. English 10 will be January 6th and 7th, Algebra 1 will be January 6th through the 9th, and Government and Science will be January 13th and 14th. Please see our testing coordinator, Mrs. Gosseline, with any questions.
