JMB Week of January 1st

Happy New Year Clipper Families,

This is Mrs. Eskridge calling to remind everyone that we return to school tomorrow, January 2nd.  Please remember that our school day begins promptly at 7:45.  I hope each of our families took some time to relax and enjoy one another's company over the break. We have three weeks left in term 2 (and semester 1).  My hope is that all students will come back ready to go and finish in a successful fashion.  Parents don't forget that you can check parent portal at any time to stay updated on your student's academic progress.

Reminder !!!!!!

A delayed opening will occur on January 3 and 4 due to the administration of the PARCC assessments. Only students that received a testing ticket will test on these dates. All other  students will enter the building at 11:00 a.m.  The first bus run is for students scheduled to take PARCC and is at the normal time.  The 2nd bus run is for all other students and will be approximately 3 hours and 15 minutes later than the normal time. If there is any type of delay due to weather (1 or 2 hour), there will only be 1 bus run and all students will arrive at the same time.  PARCC will have to be administered in the afternoon (students with special accommodations may need to have a different schedule that starts earlier prior to lunch).

Notes:

* January 3 (Schedule 4,1,2,3)

o AM CTE, Principals of Engineering, and Digital Engineering attend CTE in the afternoon following the same schedule as afternoon CTE students normally do.  This means that the CTE students would miss their 1st period class that day.  These students will need to know that they will have to leave 4th period early to catch the CTE shuttle.

o No ATEX, Intro to Engineering, orchestra for Wi Hi or JMB, Latin, AP French, or JROTC.  Home schools will need to make arrangements to house their ATEX, Intro to Engineering, orchestra, Latin, and JROTC students during 1st period.

* January 4 (Schedule 4,5,6,7)

o Afternoon CTE should follow normal schedule.  These students will need to know that they will have to leave 4th period early to catch CTE shuttle.

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone on Wednesday.  Let's work together to make 2019 a positive one where we treat one another with kindness and take personal pride in all we do.

Have a great evening!
