JMB Week of 12/10

Good Evening Clippers,

The state unveiled ESSA scores this past week and JMB scored a 3 out of 5 stars.  We are proud of this three rating.  I have shared information about our rating with our PTA Executive Board and plan to share more with parents after the new year.  We will reflect upon our scores in each of the areas, determine strengths, and develop a plan to improve.  There are so many positive things happening at JMB.

I would like to congratulate Eli Kelly and Lisa Adams on representing JMB at state band competition this weekend.  Additionally, shout out to Brandon Scholl, who quarterbacked the South Senior team to a 35-13 win in the Eastern Shore Bowl.

We have 9 more days of school before the holiday break.  This week brings a week full of holiday music.  Our band concert will be held on Monday, December 10th at Wicomico High beginning at 7:00 p.m.  Our intermediate choir and women's choir will be performing at JMB in our cafeteria on Tuesday, December 11th beginning at 7:00 p.m.

We will also take on cross town rival Parkside in basketball on Thursday. The girls will play at home while boy's JV and varsity teams will play at Parkside beginning at 4:00 p.m.

Attention Seniors and senior parents!  Now is the time to start thinking about prom planning.  We will be having our next meeting on December 18th at 5:30 in the media center.  We will be breaking up into our teams to talk about each team’s duties.  Students are welcome to come to this meeting too, as each team would like some input as to what they want a prom.  There are 3 teams available to join. Ticket Sales, Grand March and Prom, and After Prom.  We need volunteers for all three teams to make this event run smoothly, so if you are interested in helping, please be in attendance at this meeting!  If you are not able to make the meeting, but would still like to help, please email Mr. Custer at

Next week will be holiday spirit week at JMB.  Our themes will be coming out in another parentlink later this week.   Let's work hard this week to get in class on time, be cooperative in the hallways and classrooms, and complete classwork to the best of our abilities.  Progress reports do come out this Wednesday, December 12th.

If your family or another family you know is in need of a holiday dinner, please email Mrs.  Eskridge at

Let's make this a great week, JMB!
