I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving Break!

As we return tomorrow, we have just 15 days of school before winter break. During that time we will have a three-hour early dismissal day on December 8th. Mid-term grades will be calculated on the 13th and progress reports will be available on the 15th. Though our seating capacity is limited be sure to continue to review our weekly bulletin embedded below as our holiday concerts and many winter sporting events will also be taking place before winter break.

We are excited to honor this year's top three teacher of the year quarterfinalist for JMB. Ms. Eakin, Ms. Fitzgerald, and Mrs. Gordy will be celebrated on the 2nd at the Fountains. At the Fountains, we will also learn who will be the official Teacher of the Year for JMB. Let's give these three quarterfinalist a real Clipper cheer as we wish them good luck.

Reminder from last week’s message:

There seems to be some confusion over the term excused absence. When a student is absent from school, and it is coded as excused, it means they had a valid reason for being out. The term excused does not mean the student is excused for their classroom work. When your student is absent from school, encourage them to check their google classrooms for make-up work. Teachers are working diligently to keep google classrooms update, but many are not seeing students take advantage of this new way to complete work when out. When students are absent for an extended period of time, possibly because of being as a close contact or testing positive for COVID, they still need to complete their classwork, and google classroom is there to help ensure they get their make-up work.
