As we are just 15 days away from the end of the first marking term, I wanted to remind students and parents that many of our elective courses needed for graduation are only a term long, meaning it is extremely important that students pass the first marking term. First, it sets them up for success in the second term for the semester and year-long courses, and it also means that they passed our term courses. For example, students enrolled in PE, Art 1, Music, Drama, and the tech course are in classes that are only one term long. If they don't pass the quarter classes they are currently enrolled in then they fail the course.
I know that you have probably heard how important it is for young children to read. It is also important for young adults in high school to be reading. Just as you did when they were little, continue to encourage your child to read and ask them questions about what they are reading.
