3/28 Parent Message

Good evening, Clipper families. This is Principal Savage with your weekly message.

It's an exciting time here at JMB as scheduling season has arrived.  The process started this week when students participated in Stop Drop and Schedule and will continue over the course of the next couple of months.  Counselors will begin to meet with all rising seniors and dual enrollment students first.  It's important that Dual Enrollment students are completed first due to the timeline at the local college/ university.   Once guidance works through that group of students, they will then meet with our current sophomores followed by our freshmen.  All students will have the same opportunities to get the classes they desire as we will build our schedule based off student requests.  If your student requested an appointment, their counselor will set up an appointment via the student’s email.  Students should be checking their school email accounts for scheduling updates. Once the process is complete students will receive an official copy of their course requests for the 2021-2022 school year.

Just a reminder that students who were already attending two days per week can start attending for days on Monday of this week since we have been able to move to a 3ft physical distancing rather than the 6feet in most classrooms.

Students will have the opportunity to get their school pictures taken on April 6th for students attending Monday and Tuesday and April 8th for students attending Thursday and Friday.  Students who are virtual will be able to sign up for pictures on April 6th & 8th from 2-5.  For those of you who are virtual the sign-up links are in the email portion of the message.  https://my.lifetouch.com/mylifetouch/#/

On April 8th during our FLEX period (10:35am-11:20am), all students will have the opportunity to participate in the “No Place for Hate Virtual High School Tour”. A link will be provided to all teachers and students the day prior to the event so that all can join, even if they are at home virtual. The assembly is put on by the Anti-Defamation League. Students that attend will also have the opportunity to win prizes from JMB, separate from the prizes listed on the flyer.
