2-21 Parent Message
Good evening, Clipper families. This is Principal Savage with your weekly message.
Thank for those of you who participated in our parent teacher conferences last Thursday. Our next parent teacher conferences are scheduled for April 15th from 5-7. I had the opportunity to meet with the PTSA executive board during that time. Some of those who serve on the PTSA executive board have students who are seniors so the PTSA will need parents to fill some positions for next school year. If you are interested, let me know and I will be sure to pass the information onto them.
It was so good to have students back in the building last week. It seems many of you who signed up to come back to the building did not come last week. I am hopefully, that this week those of you already on the list to return will be with us in the building. If you have decided to stay virtual, please call and let us know as it impacts classroom numbers as we work with others who may want to return.
Though this year is not like those in the past, there are still several ways for students to stay involved in school. We have clubs, sports and of course the PTSA’s Rock-N-Roll Revival. I know those involved in RRR want to create something special, despite the current restrictions. If you have not submitted your audition tape you should do so quickly. Soon they will be casting the show and assigning songs, musical accompaniments and develop choreography. (Deadline for video audition submissions: Friday, February 26, 2021 by 5pm.)
Juniors and seniors if you are coming to the building but arriving late or leaving early, please make sure your schedule says travel. Otherwise, you should be attending your assigned study hall. If you need to have travel added to your schedule, please contact your guidance counselor.
Just a few reminders for those of you coming the building:
Please make sure you bring your school laptop with you each day and that it is fully charged.
Gaiters are not approved face coverings. A mask will be provided if you do not have one.
You need to be on time each morning. When you are late, we must get you signed in to be marked present which requires additional contact that we would prefer to avoid as we practice safe physical distancing. Please make sure you leave early enough each morning to be in class by the 7:45 bell. Lateness to school will be monitored.
