Parent Message 2-17
Good evening, Clipper families. This is Principal Savage with your weekly message.
First, happy Valentine’s Day! It is official Tuesday we begin a hybrid model of school with some students in person and some students virtual. As with any change I am sure there will be a few bumps along the way. Let’s continue to encourage the students and the teachers as they engage one another in this new educational setting.
Just a reminder that we will have virtual/parent teacher conference this coming Thursday from 5-7. If you are interested in attending, please complete the link in the email by Monday at 3:00.
Since we are getting ready to return check out the video link that provides reminders for students. Savage Message to Hybrid Students: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FSiO4xqpkSE
Juniors and seniors for those of you that have travel, when you enter the building you will need to sign in. Please bring your own pen and be ready to sign so we can keep the line moving and ensure social distancing. If you have not completed the paperwork to allow you to travel but are interested, get that completed ASAP. If you are not sure about travel, contact your guidance counselor.
Our SMART Team created a presentation for Black History Month in case you missed it on Facebook.
Here’s the online nomination form that you can fill out electronically for Teacher of the Year.
Just a reminder that we do not have school tomorrow so enjoy your extended weekend.
Those of you coming in on Tuesday make sure to take a screen shot of your classes and location before getting to school. Those of you coming Thursday and Friday should do the same.
Please also understand that for those of you who are returning in person before coming in the building need to ensure you don’t have any of the Covid symptoms and that you have your mask ready to be worn throughout the day. It would be a good idea to bring two masks. You will quickly learn that talking and being in the same mask all day starts to feel uncomfortable. Putting on a fresh mask helps.
Oh, and if you forget your laptop you will be assigned to the media center on a desktop until someone brings you your school laptop.
