Back to Virtual
Good Evening Clipper families,
As you may already know the Board of Education held a meeting earlier today where it was decided that all Wicomico County Public Schools will return to virtual learning starting tomorrow, November 18. This is in response to the COVID positivity rate and new case rates
This has some impact on us as were doing several small groups during the week and will no longer be able to do so. We are still on track to return on a hybrid schedule on February 2. In order for us to return on those dates, the metrics will need to show 7 consecutive days of the Positivity Rate below 5% and 7 consecutive days of the New Case Rate below 15 per 100,000.
Sports and other extracurricular activities are on hold for now. That means that band and sports practices are canceled starting tomorrow. If we meet the metrics that were described earlier, small groups, athletics, band, and other extracurricular activities may resume prior to January.
We will continue to offer meal distribution daily for those who have been taking advantage of that opportunity.
If you have not completed the hybrid survey, please make sure to do so. (http://hybrid.wcboe.org). That survey must be completed before we return from Thanksgiving break, or your child will be automatically scheduled for virtual school when we start hybrid in February.
As always, please email or call the school if you have any questions. We are in this together and WE are Clipper Strong!
Thank you and have a wonderful evening.
