10/11 Parent Message

Good evening, Clipper families.  This is Principal Savage with your weekly message.

We have moved past mid-term and are now looking toward the end of the first term.  The first term will end on November 10th.  If you have not reviewed your student’s progress report, you can do that using the attached directions.  We are seeing that some students are not completing that work on Wednesdays.  Students need to complete the Wednesday work to be counted present and because it is part of their class grade.  Viewing Student and Parent Published Reports.pdf

Just as we would normally have a PTA meeting, we will continue that in our virtual setting.  The first PTA meeting and teacher visitation is scheduled for the 15th from 5-7.  From 5-6:30 teachers will be available for you to meet with them and at 6:30 the executive board of the PTA will be holding a meeting for anyone interesting in attending.  Specific information about this process will follow in the coming days.

Upcoming Dates and Reminders:  Bulletin 10-12-2020.docx

In person fall sports practices begin this week.  Please see the attached weekly bulletin for more information.

We will continue to offer math tutoring on Wednesday for Algebra 1 and Geometry.  Please check out the bulletin for the links to sign up for the tutoring sessions.

Please continue to remind students that they must attend zoom sessions to be counted present for school and class. To ensure that zoom sessions are closely monitored for security it is imperative that students turn on their camera for attendance.  Our county’s attendance policy is still in effect so if a student misses 5 or more unexcused days of school this term they will need to make up those days to earn back their grades.

If you have attendance questions, please contact Mrs. Wehlan our attendance secretary.

When technology problems strike be sure to call the help line.  The tech helpline information is attached and comes in three languages.  Family Help Line English NEW.JPG Family Help Line Haitian Creole NEW.JPG Family Help Line Spanish NEW.JPG

This week will be a short week as students do not have school on Friday, but school offices will be open if you need anything.

Thank you and have a great evening.
