Welcome To Prince Street!
-
Back To School Night! - It takes place on Sept. 17 beginning at 5 p.m. at Prince Street Elementary.
On Sept. 29, we will host the 3rd Annual Curriculum Carnival with great support from our faith-based partner, Allen Memorial Baptist Church. Last year’s carnival had more than 1,000 students, families and supporters in attendance!
Please note: It’s going to be a great year at Prince Street Elementary! We are a Title I school and CAP (Consistent Attire Program) school. Clothing details are available at the school or at www.wcboe.org. Look for our new banner, which celebrates all the great students and great activities we have at Prince Street: “When united through diversity, wonderful things can be achieved.” We are excited to add a fifth full-day Prekindergarten teacher to provide our youngest learners with the best possible preparation for success in Kindergarten and beyond.
We started the school year with a visit from Co-Founder and Executive Director of the Ron Clark Academy in Atlanta, GA, Kim Bearden on Aug. 27. We will be implementing a few new things at Prince Street during this school year like the “House System” across all grade levels, as well as chants and cheers in the classroom, flexible seating. and the Prince Core Four: Track the Speaker, Respectful Interactions, S.P.E.C.I.A.L. First Impression - Shake Hands, Posture, Eye Contact, Charisma, Introduce Yourself, Ask a Question, Lean In and Listen, and Stand-Up when Responding. These are all part of the Ron Clark Academy Philosophy and the beginning of our new journey. Prince Core Four: Track the Speaker, Respectful Interactions, S.P.E.C.I.A.L. First Impression - Shake Hands, Posture, Eye Contact, Charisma, Introduce Yourself, Ask a Question, Lean In and Listen, and Stand Up when Responding.
