Arrival: 7:45 a.m. Instruction: 8:15 a.m. Dismissal: 2:15 p.m. Traditional School
Arrival: 8:15 a.m. Instruction: 8:45 a.m. Dismissal: 3:15 p.m.
WalkersArrival: Students will be permitted to enter the side door located on the bus ramp between the arrival and instructional times. If a student arrives on school property later than the instructional time listed above, they will need to enter through the front office doors near staff parking. Dismissal: Students will be escorted to the crosswalk/cross guard near the bus ramp side of the building at one time at the above-mentioned dismissal time.
Car Riders:Staff will be on the walkway and/or at the car rider entrance located near the staff parking lot. Parents are asked to drive up to the designated drop off area between the arrival and instruction times listed above. Students arriving after the instruction time will need to enter the main office area with a parent/guardian to sign in and get a tardy slip. Students are dismissed to the car rider area at the designated dismissal time listed above. They will stand by grade with staff that will monitor and assist the students when their ride pulls up to retrieve them. Fifteen minutes after dismissal time students who have not yet been picked up will be escorted to the office where a parent/guardian will need to sign the child out.
Bus Riders:Arrival: Once the bell for the start of magnet and traditional arrival time rings, staff will be located on the bus ramp/walkway until instruction time begins. Dismissal: Students will be called down by bus as the buses arrive to school to take them home. Staff will be located on the bus ramp/walkway as they are being dismissed.
Change of dismissal procedure:Parents will need to provide changes in dismissal plans in writing as soon as a change in dismissal is known but no later than 1:45 for Magnet and 2:45 for Traditional in order for the homeroom teacher and child/children to be notified of any changes.
Parents may (1) send a parent note with the child, (2) fax the school at 410-677-5835 ATTN: Mrs. Callaway or Mrs.Bayly, or (3) email kbayly@wcboe or docallaw@wcboe.org. ***You must call to confirm receipt of the emailed change of dismissal.
Dismissal changes cannot be accepted by phone.
