Commencement

Commencement will held on Saturday June 12, 2021 at Shorebirds Stadium at 7:00pm.  All graduate should arrive at 6:15pm.  Guests (4 per graduate) will sit in the 200 level of the Stadium. Seats will be blocked off in groups of four.  Commencement practice is mandatory. It will take place at the Arthur W. Perdue Stadium at 12:00 noon on June 11. Dress to practice is casual – please do not bring caps and gowns to this event. Students will need to wear a mask.

The estimated delivery for the 2020-2021 yearbook is this August. Due to COVID and a lack of student events, sports, in-person classes, etc. the school elected to delay our deadlines this year in order to try to cover more of the school year. This means that the book’s publication is also delayed. If the books are delivered in early to mid-August, those students who preordered their yearbooks will be contacted in August to come and pick them up. If they are delivered in late August, we will just wait to pass them out during the first days of school.

Tickets, Final Exams, Laptop and Textbook return

No final exams: seniors last day to report to school is 6/3/21. *Students who meet the exam exemption policy will finish on 5/28. You will be notified if you meet this exemption once midterm reports are completed. Students will return textbooks, laptops, chargers, and hot spots after their last class.  Once students have returned all items due to the school, they will be able to pick up their tickets for commencement on Friday 6/4 from 1:30 - 4:00pm. 

Bacculaureate 

Baccalaureate will be held on Thursday May 20 at 7:00pm at Emmanuel Wesleyan Church.  This is a worship service HONORING graduates as they are look forward to their future--a future where they can and will have an impact on our world. *Seniors are encouraged to wear their cap and gown to this event. If you plan to attend, let us know by 5/14 by completing the follow link so we can have your cap and gown ready for you. Note: Cords will not be available until 5/26.

Senior Celebration

The Senior Celebration will be held on Wednesday 5/26/2021 in the A Wing Parking Lot from 10:00am - 1:00pm.  Students may decorate their space beginning at 9am.  Students will receive caps and gowns, as well as JMB face masks, and pose for a picture. (Note: students who receive Honor Society cords/stoles will receive those on this date as well. Cords will be purchased this year only by the school and will be given to those students at no expense.) We are hoping to get a distanced picture of all graduates as well as graduates in their decorated parking space with the help of a drone. (Weather Permitting).  Students will receive personalized yard signs from the senior class that they can proudly display at their homes.  Students will receive their senior T-shirts also provided by the senior class.  Seniors will be offered a bagged lunch and allowed to sit 6ft apart and socialize if they would like. Asking students to bring beach towel for social distancing lunch outside.
