School Meal Update
Meal Updates for School Year 2021-2022
This school year breakfast and lunch will be offered to all students at no charge under a USDA waiver. This waiver is a result of federal funding being provided to Wicomico County Public Schools in response to the pandemic. Applying for free or reduced priced meals is not necessary to receive meals at no cost. However, if a free or reduced meal status is necessary for a specific program, the free or reduced meal application may be completed online at: onlineapps.wcboe.org. Paper applications are available at all Wicomico County Public School offices and at the Wicomico County Board of Education's Northgate and 101 Long Avenue complexes.
The charging of meals to student accounts will not be necessary this school year. However, a la carte items will be available for purchase through cash transactions or deducted from a student's My Payments Plus account. Negative balances on meal accounts from previous years will be carried over into this school year. If a student's meal account is negative from a previous year, parents will be notified via automated phone calls, letters, and emails.
To assist you in managing your student's meal account, parents can view a student's purchase history, set low balance notifications, and add funds to a student's account electronically at www.mypaymentsplus.com. Upon registering your account with your student's ID number (not their PIN number) you will have free up to date access. A 4.75% fee is assessed only when you add funds to the account. Please allow up to 24 hours for new funds to be posted to a student's account.
Feel free to contact the Department of Food and Nutrition Services office with any questions, comments, or concerns by phone at 410-677-4419 or email email@example.com.
