MARYLAND HEALTHY WORKING FAMILIES ACT
-
Recent legislative action resulted in the passage of the Maryland Healthy Working Families Act (House Bill 1). The most significant effects of this new Law will impact part-time employees and those individuals not currently receiving any sick leave. This includes, but is not limited to, contractual employees, temporary employees, and part-time employees including long-term substitutes. The procedures below have been developed by Wicomico County Public Schools for the implementation of this new law.
