    Poetry Contestants

Poetry Out Loud is a national program in which students from around the country can earn up to $50,000 in prizes and scholarships. For the 2016 competition, Zaniah Williams and Shantelle Handy performed two poems each. They both did an amazing job, but Shantelle was able to earn the score to move on to regionals in February. All students are encouraged to try out for the competition. See your English teacher or Mrs. Hinman (shinman@wcboe.org) for details.
