UMBC GIRLS IN ENGINEERING VIRTUAL EVENT
The UMBC Center for Women in Technology (CWIT) is now accepting registrations for our first ever BLAST Off (Building Lasting Academic Success in Tech) virtual event on Saturday, March 6, 2021, from 10am-1pm. This is an interactive event for 9th and 10th grade girls to learn about tech, CWIT, and UMBC’s computing and engineering programs. This will be a great opportunity for participants to ask questions about college and play informative/fun games with new friends!
Components of the day will include: Time with current college students to learn more about computing and engineering student organizations and activities available in college, learning more about what to expect if you become a computing or engineering major, and participating in fun computing and/or engineering activities.
Please use this form to RSVP to the event by Wednesday, March 3, 2021. A confirmation email with the link to join the event and other details will be sent by Friday, March 5.

SGA TALENT SHOW IS A GO!
SGA will be putting on the Talent Show! Deadline for signing up will be March 5. Video submission deadline: March 19. It will post April 9. There will not be tryouts. Fill out this Google form for students by March 5.

Practices will be held on Mondays and Thursdays from 3:00-4:30.

FALL SPORTS START FEB 13, SPRING SPORTS START APR 17
The Bayside Athletic Supervisors, with support of the Bayside conference’s superintendents, are pleased to announce that the Fall and Spring athletic seasons will take place during the following dates: Fall will occur February 13th to April 17th and Spring will occur April 17th to June 19th. The goal for each season is to offer in person coaching/training of student-athletes along with competitive events.

A HUGE congratulations to 8th Grader, Ava Baer for making it into All-State Junior Chorus!

MMHS BOOK CLUB STILL ACCEPTING MEMBERS
On Wednesday, Dec. 16, MMHS Book Club held its first meeting, and members voted on our first book. We will be reading Remarkables by Margaret Peterson Haddix (see description in picture). MMHS NEEDS A FOOD BANK FRIDGE
We are going to start having a food bank here but we are in need of a refrigerator/freezer. If anybody has one to donate (has to be in working condition), it has to be 26" or less (width wise). Please call Bonnie Smith at the MMHS Office at (410) 677-5142.
6TH GRADE SCHOOL TOURS AVAILABLE
We are very excited to be currently scheduling tours for our 6th grade students on Wednesdays. Please call our Middle school counselor, Mrs. Armstrong, to schedule a time to bring your student in for a tour. - Click on the Catalog Tab. Search for books by keyword, title, author, subject or series, to find a title you would like to check out
- Email email@example.com (Mrs. Brown is teaching so Mrs. Hooper will be pulling books) with the title(s) of the book(s)that you want
- Wait for an email response with the day and time that your book(s) will be available
- Curbside Service will be available weekly on Wednesdays (Starting September 30th) at the Mardela bus ramp or by appointment throughout the week
