Upcoming Letter Day

  • On Tuesday, January 28, 2020 we had our first annual Community Connections/PTA Visitation Night.

Area businesses and organizations were able to share information with our students and families to help familiarize them with different careers and future opportunities.

We would like to thank the businesses, community partners and families that participated.

On Saturday, February 1st All-Shore Orchestra auditions were held at Stephen Decatur High School that included students from 4 different counties on the eastern shore. We would like to congratulate 6th graders Alex Catlin and Hannah Taylor and 7th grader Diva Shrestha, Winners of the Young Author’s Contest for their poetry. As well as 6th grader Charles Williams winner of the Young Author’s Contest for his short story!

This past week, Our TAD students had the privilege of sitting through a legislative session. The tour guides said that hands down our SMS students were one of the mature groups they have ever hosted. The students were dressed professionally- many were in ties and dresses!!! Mrs. Todd said she was impressed with the questions and answers that she heard from our very impressive group.

Salisbury Middle School has so many talented individuals! Our staff feels so privileged to have such eager, capable and resourceful students in our many diversified programs!

Grade 6 parents, we wanted to provide everyone with a reminder about the upcoming immunizations that are state required for each student before September 30th of 2020. As you are making doctor’s visits please be mindful of theses mandated immunizations. If your child does not have the required immunizations by the end of September of 2020, they will have to be exempt from school. We want to provide as much lead time as possible so we can minimize school exemptions.
