The purpose of the school library media program is to provide all and staff with equitable and timely access to ideas and information and to ensure, through an integrated instructional program, that students and staff are effective users of ideas and information. The school library media program has a published mission that is consistent with the educational mission of the school and the library media mission of the local school system and the state. The mission statement for the library media is the foundation for planning, implementation and evaluation.
