Factors are numbers that are multiplied together to make a product. 

Example:    4 x 6 = 24

4 and 6 are factors of 24

Other factors of 24 are 1,2,3,4,6,8,12,24 because:

1 x 24 = 24                           

2 x 12 = 24

3 x 8 = 24

4 x 6 = 24
