We are completing our reading theme Talent Show. Students have been working on noting details and identifying problems/solutions in the stories. Our last story was Moses Goes to a Concert. Thank you very
much for supporting your child's attendance to the Parkside symphonic
band concert to correlate with the story. Our next story is The School Mural. We will learn how individuals work together to share their talents.
In Math, we are investigating 2 and 3 dimensional shapes, including the square, cube, triangle, pyramid, circle and sphere. We are also reviewing all skills learned throughout the school year in preparation for third grade.
We have been very busy working on our Mexican expedition and exploring our guiding question: What makes the culture of Mexico unique? We would like to invite you to a "Showcase" of our studies on Wednesday, May 29 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. We hope you can join us for this special event!
