Cool Tools
Most of the links that I provide are free sites. I am
not trying to sell or promote any site, but I found this site and it seemed like
it was worth investigating. The site is called
Quia. It is $49 for a
year. As a subscriber, you are able to create matching games, flash cards,
scavenger hunts, cloze activities and others. You can also create classes
and track quiz results, create class pages for communicating with students,
upload images and audio clips, or modify any of Quia's activities to suit your
own needs.
Pics4learning
is a free site that has an enormous amount of pictures for use in your
projects. You can browse by topic, popular images, or do an advanced
search. It also provides lesson plans that teachers can use in conjunction
with the site.
Art
At Eduweb.com visitors can be an art detective. I had
a blast trying to discover who the mystery artist was. Imagine what
fun your students would have trying to use their knowledge of color,
composition, style and subject to decipher the mystery artist.
