Technology Literacy Profile This is the year for you to become technology literate! We are so excited about the opportunities Wicomico County teachers will have to integrate technology into their daily instruction. In the past each school has had a Technology Liaison who was responsible for providing technology in-service opportunities for the staff. Each Tech. Liaison was providing different in-services depending on the needs of the individual school. This year, we have changed things up a bit. This year each school will have a Technology Resource Teacher responsible for helping the teachers gain the skills they need to properly integrate technology to support their instruction. We did not just change the name of the position. Some other crucial and exciting changes were made to the goals and implementation of the technology program. One of the big changes is that teachers will have the opportunity to earn 3 credits for their efforts! A Technology Literacy Profile was created. This profile allows teachers to see what skills they already know how to do and what skills they still need to be able to do. Teachers can work independently of one another to achieve the technology goals required to earn their two credits. In-service opportunities will still be provided to guide participants in completing their Technology Literacy Profile. The great thing about the goals is that they can be completed on-line, from the comfort of your own home if you so desire! The Technology Resource Teacher will verify your participation and completion of the goals. Check with your technology resource teacher for more details.
