Periods 3, 4, 7, and 8

Students are reading their fabulous new Elements of Literature book.  They have been issued their very own brand-spanking-new book to keep at home...hopefully not under the bed in hiding.  Each reading selection includes specialized vocabulary and it will be taught in the context of that selection.  Grammar will also be infused in lessons throughout the year.

We will be exploring novels when the weather gets chilly.  Until then, please ask your child if he or she has extra reading to do at home.  If it's not from the literature book, have them read their project book and complete their book journal.  There is only one way to become a better reader...READ, READ, READ.
