Never give up...

Students are lucky enough to have two great literature books to read!  We are currently enjoying short stories and working with vocabulary and reading strategies.  Vocabulary is taught in the context of specific reading selections.  Grammar will also be infused in lessons throughout the year.

We will be exploring novels when the weather gets chilly.  Until then, please ask your child if he or she has extra reading to do at home.  If it's not from the literature book, have them read their project book and complete their book journal.  There is only one way to become a better reader...READ, READ, READ.
