3/21/08--PARKSIDE HIGH SCHOOL vs. ARCADIA HIGH SCHOOL The Parkside Ram’s baseball team started the season off on a winning note by defeating Colonel Richardson in the 5th annual Parkside HS Easter Tournament. Game one had Parkside HS vs. Arcadia HS. Offensively getting the Ram’s started was Will Jones hitting a three run home run. Andrew Dane and Daniel Trivits both had 3 hits a piece. Adding to the Parkside offense was Phillip Fassel with two hits, combining with Myles Illian, Cody Cauffman, and John Donalds each with one hit a piece. Defensively the Ram’s were sharp. Starting on the mound was Spencer Gillis who pitched four innings and allowed four runs on seven hits to get the win. Behind him was Ryan Taylor who came in for a three inning save allowing no runs on three hits. 3/21/08 PARKSIDE HIGH SCHOOL vs. COL. RICHARDSON HIGH SCHOOL In the Championship game of the Easter Tournament it was a pitching duel between Parkside’s Daniel Trivits and Col. Richardsons Chip Dunn. Trivits pitched 7 innings and allowed only three hits. Dunn threw 5 innings and allowed only one. In the end, Parkside came out with the victory 2-0. 3/26/08--PARKSIDE HIGH SCHOOL VS POKOMOKE HIGH SCHOOL The Parkside Rams start off their bayside season with a solid victory against the Pokomoke Warriors. Starting on the mound was Ryan Taylor who threw five scoreless innings allowing two hits with 8 strikeouts. Myles Illian and Seth Illian came in for relief, they both combined with three strikeouts. The Rams offensive work was sparked by Daniel Trivits who went 3 for 3 with 4 RBI’s. Also adding to the runs was Myles Illian, Seth Illian, and Will Jones who each added an RBI. 3/27/08 PARKSIDE HS vs. MARDELA HS In this 5-0 win versus Mardela, Daniel Trivits pitched a complete game shut out for the victory. He provided one RBI for the Rams while Seth Illian, Andrew Dane, Will Jones and John Donalds each drove in one RBI. Offensively for the Rams, Dane and Joshua Clogg with two hits a piece combining with Jones, Luke Hearne, and Donalds each with one hit a piece. 3/31/08 PARKSIDE HS vs. CRISFIELD HS The Parkside Rams finished this one quick by scoring 11 runs in five innings. Pitching for the Rams was Spencer Gillis throwing 4 scoreless innings, and Luke Hearne throwing one for the close. The Rams offense had 13 hits off of Crisfield getting the victory in a slaughter rule in only five innings.4/02/08 PARKSIDE HS VS. WASHINGTON HS Starting on the mound for the Rams was Cody Cauffman who threw two innings only allowing one run on one hit. Closing the game and earning the win was Andrew Dane who threw a strong three innings to get the game over quick. The Rams offense looked sharp driving in 11 runs to get an early five inning victory. Getting two hits a piece was the twin combo of Myles and Seth Illian, they also combined with four RBI’s. Adding to the hits was Andrew Dane, Spencer Gillis, Will Jones, and Cody Cauffman. The final score of this game was Rams 11 Jaguars 1. 4/3/08--PARKSIDE HIGH SCHOOL VS STEPHEN DECATUR HIGH SCHOOL In an early-season showdown Thursday at Stephen Decatur, the Parkside Rams defeated the Seahawks 5-0. Daniel Trivits pitched his third consecutive complete game shutout this season, surrendering only four hits. Josh Clogg, Andrew Dane, John Donalds, Myles Illian, Will Jones, and Trivits each had a hit for the Rams, with Myles Illian collecting two RBI’s, and Clogg, Dane, and Trivits, one RBI each. 4/8/08--PARKSIDE HS vs. SNOW HILL HS In this early bayside showdown the Snow Hill Eagles host the Parkside Rams. The Rams were defeated by the Eagles 6-1. The Rams came out flat with only four hits total provided by Andrew Dane, Daniel Trivits, Will Jones and Phillip Fassel. Starting on the mound for the Rams was Ryan Taylor who pitched strong for six innings only allowing four hits but the defense came up short allowing three errors. Ryan Taylor gave up one earned run. Spencer Gillis came in for a one inning relief and gave up three. 4/10/08--PARKSIDE HS vs. WICOMICO HS The Rams put the Indians out quick in a five inning 11-0 slaughter rule victory. Daniel Trivits started the game pitching three innings keeping the Rams tight allowing no runs, while Myles and Seth Illian came in for a two inning shut down. Providing the RBI’s was Seth Illian and John Donalds both with two and Will Jones with one. The losing pitcher for the Indians was Tony Butler. 4/12/08--PARKSIDE HS vs. SUSSEX CENTRAL HS This was a rough Saturday morning for the Rams traveling up to Sussex Central HS. Spencer Gillis started out the game only pitching 1 1/3 innings allowing six runs on five hits, all runs earned. After him Ryan Taylor came in for relief, pitching 2 2/3 innings allowing two runs on three hits, only one of his runs were earned. The Rams only came up with three hits; Seth Illian provided a home run and a single while Will Jones had just one hit. In the 5th inning it began to rain and storm, they had to cut the game short and the Rams lost 2-8. 4/14/08 PARKSIDE HIGH SCHOOL V. BENNETT HIGH SCHOOL In this local showdown it was the Rams versus the Clippers, the Rams came out on top 10-8 in a very tense game. Starting on the mound for the Rams was pitcher Daniel Trivits who threw a strong six innings only allowing four earned runs. Myles Illian came in for a one inning shut down to get the save. The Rams offense was very sharp getting nine hits and racking in ten runs. Andrew Dane, Will Jones, and Daniel Trivits each had tow hits a piece while PJ Fassel, Myles Illian and Seth Illian each had one. Getting in the RBI’s was Will Jones with four and Daniel Trivits with three. 4/15/08 PARKSIDE HIGH SCHOOL VS POCOMOKE HIGH SCHOOL The Rams beat Pokomoke 9-3 behind the pitching of Cody Cauffman(4 innings), Andrew Dane(2 innings), and Seth Illian(1 inning). Doing the work for the offense was Seth Illian and Will Jones each with two hits a piece; adding to this was Andrew Dane, Stephan Corbin, Spencer Gillis and Darren Nichols each with a hit. 4/17/08 PARKSIDE HS VS MARDELA HS In this second game against the Mardela Warriors, Parkside comes out on top 10-9 in a very tense game. Ryan Taylor started on the mound throwing five innings allowing 8 hits and no earned runs. Parkside's defense was having an off day allowing 7 errors which gave the Warriors a chance to put up runs, then for the close was Myles Illian who put the Warriors to sleep in the final two innings. Myles Illian earned the Win while Ryan Taylor left with the no decision. The stars of the offense for the Rams were JD Donalds(3 hits), Myles Illian(3 hits), and Daniel Trivits(2 hits); each combining with 5 RBI’s. Other Rams putting in work were PJ Fassel, Seth Illian, and Josh Clogg all whom had one hit a piece. 4/23/08 PARKISDE HS VS WASHINGTON HS This game was complete after 5 innings for the Rams who put up 24 on the Jaguars lonely 1. The Pitching staff for the Rams in this game was Spencer Gillis, JD Donalds, Cody Cauffman, and Luke Hearne. The Rams Offense was destructive against every pitcher the Jaguars brought in to throw; the Rams left with 14 hits. Doing the damage was Seth Illian, Myles Illian, Alex Serkes, Cody Cauffman and JD Donalds each with two hits a piece. 4/24/08 PARKSIDE HS VS ST. DECATUR HS Parksides pitcher Daniel Trivits leads the Rams to the second victory against Decatur High School in a 3 to 0 victory. Daniel Trivits pitched a very strong game today throwing a seven inning shut-out and only allowing five hits with six strike-outs. The Rams offense was sparked by second baseman Seth Illian who had two hits and an RBI. Adding to this offense was Daniel Trvits(1 RBI), Andrew Dane, and Will Jones who each had a hit a piece. Joshua Clogg also provided an RBI. This was the Rams second time beating Decatur and second time shutting them out. 4/26/08 PARKSIDE HS VS BENNETT HS Rams pitcher Ryan Taylor throws a one hitter against the Clippers earning there second win in this local match up. Ryan Taylor started on the mound throwing a strong seven innings giving up one hit on 5 strike-outs. The Rams defense also looked very sharp only allowing one error on a past ball behind the dish which gave Bennett there lonely run. The bats for the Rams were on fire getting 7 runs on 9 hits. Getting two hits a piece was PJ Fassel, Daniel Trivits, and Will Jones (3 RBI’s). Adding to the damage with one hit a piece was Myles Illian, Andrew Dane, and Cody Cauffman. The Rams get the win in this game with a score of Parkside 7 Bennett 1. 4/30/08 PARKSIDE HS VS CRISFILD HS Parkside gets another win today making there record 15W-2L. Spencer Gillis was on the mound today throwing a good seven innings only allowing three runs on six hits followed with a nice six strike-outs. The Rams offense backed him up by scoring 9 runs on 12 hits. Doing some damage was Seth Illian(3 RBI’s) and Daniel Trivits(2 RBI’s) who each had a three hit game. Adding to them was Will Jones with two hits. Getting one hit a piece was Myles Illian, Cody Cauffman, Joshua Clogg, and Spencer Gillis. |
