
The mission of Mardela Middle and High School honoring a tradition of community support is to ensure a quality education in an effective and safe learning environment in which all students will reach their potential.
BELIEF STATEMENT:
* A good school is one that provides a meaningful educational foundation by putting learning and instruction first and exposing students to a wide variety of experiences.
* An effective classroom is one in which learning occurs in a creative, exciting environment that encourages students to think.
* A quality instructional program includes a strong core curriculum with a variety of learning experiences to meet all students' needs.
* A successful student is able to stay on task, set goals and periodically self-evaluate.
* A successful student is able to take responsibility for his/her own learning and perform to his/her potential.
* An effective school is one in which all students and staff can be safe, comfortable, and successful.
* A good teacher is one who develops, communicates, and enforces appropriate standards to promote students' educational, social, and emotional growth.
* An effective school is one which promotes a mutual community interaction.
