Practice for the Festival Band on Wednesday, Feb. 13 was far less than adequate, considering we have 4 more practices before we are in front of judges on March 13. Though each student needs to tackle basic issues of playing proper notes and rhythms with characteristic, supported tone, the one HUGE factor that hindered and frustrated the band was the CONSTANT TALKING. I would appreciate if you would address this issue and help me to assure that they are ready musically and personally to put this performance together at our next practice, Wednesday, Feb. 20.
PS You are all invited to come to our practice, Wednesday, Feb. 20, to observe and support.

Congratulations and kudos to Victoria Dunning and Kristin Catlin for joining Brett Taylor, Dylan Peterman, Sara Savage, and Jordan Prettyman and taking on the challenge of preparing Festival Band music and joining the group for our District Band Festival!
After this competition, they are invited to remain with the group; they will then be involved in 2 Spring Concerts: Monday, April 21 with the 6th Grade Band, and Thursday, May 8 with the
Festival Band.
