Principal

Mr. Collins is happy to be in his second year as principal of Glen Avenue School.  He believes that Glen Avenue's success as a school is because of the wonderful staff that calls Glen Avenue home.  His teaching career began in Caroline County as a grade 4 teacher.  He served as an assistant principal at Pemberton Elementary before attaining his principalship at Glen Avenue.  His passion is school climate, and helping each learner in his building become the absolute best that they can be in whatever they want to do. His wife, Jeri, and his daughters, Makayla and Mackenzie enjoy helping out at Glen.

Ms Parsons, Karen

Vice-Principal

Karen Parsons is an alumnus of Wicomico County schools and former Wicomico County Teacher of the Year. She has 12 years of experience in the field of education and joined the Glen Avenue team as vice principal in July 2006. She believes it is her responsibility as an educator to provide a positive and nurturing school climate that promotes academic success for each and every child. She resides in Salisbury with her husband, Kevin, her 7 year old daughter, and her three year old twins.
