Mrs. Burton taught general music for 22 years before leaving that field of teaching to teach string orchestra full-time in 2008. She teaches violin at East Salisbury, as well as six other schools in Wicomico County. She also teaches piano privately and directs the children's choirs at her church. She and her husband and three daughters live in Salisbury.

grew up in Richmond and Philadelphia. I have a BA in Graphic Design and a masters degree in TESOL (Teaching English to Second Language Learners). I love teaching English to our ESOL students, and learning about their varied cultural tranditions. It's a joy to watch the ways in which our entire school community is enriched, learning about other cultures, while sharing our American experience with these language learners!

Ms. Heim graduated with a BA in music education from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Before teaching at East Salisbury she taught general music and band for one year at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel in Erie, PA. She loves teaching music and is excited about teaching here.

I graduated from SU with a BS in Elementary Education in 2001. I have been the ISS teacher at East Salisbury since January 2003.
I believe we are on this earth to learn. Each student is good at something - we as teachers are here to facilitate them finding their talent.
