I was born and raised in Salisbury, Maryland. I received my education from the Wicomico County School System. I attended Prince Street Elementary, Bennett Junior and Bennett Senior High School. I graduated from Salisbury University with a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Education. I have always taught at Beaver Run. It truly is home for me. When not in school, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, going to the beach and reading books.

I was born in Huntington, West Virginia. I graduated from Marshall University with a BA in Elementary Ed. and Learning Disabilities. I have my Masters Degree in Special Education. I have taught for 12 years. I am currently teaching a Seminar class for SU. I love tennis and football. Children’s minds and how they work have always interested and fascinated me. Therefore I knew I always wanted to be a teacher. I started my career in Wicomico County in 1983, after graduating from Salisbury University with a degree in Elementary Education. During my employment, I have taught 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th grades and have been in three county schools. I love incorporating technology into the lessons for the children and I always want to make learning fun for them. Outside of school, you can always find me on the beach. I like to travel when I can and spend time with my friends and family.

I was born in Pottstown, Pennsylvania and earned my bachelors degree in elementary education from York College of Pennsylvania. I love to spend time traveling with my wife. I have been to 40 of the 50 states and 5 countries outside of the states. I enjoy living on the Eastern Shore (since 2007) and now I am working on my masters degree in counseling. Although born in Tachikawa, Japan I have lived most of my life on the Eastern Shore. I graduated from Salisbury University and have taught Pre-K, Kindergarten and Second grade. Being active in band, scouting, church and various sports has provided me with the opportunity to be involved in our local community. Even though my family keeps me very busy I try to find time to work in my garden and read a good book. I love to hear children laugh, and my favorite word is "smile."

I am a tenured 2nd grade teacher with a Master's degree in Elementary Studies. I grew upu on the Western Shore, but was attracted to the beautiful Eastern Shore a few years ago. I love to rollerblade and play sports. Reading, boating, and going to the beach are some of my favorite hobbies. During football season, I love rooting on the New Orleans Saints!

Mrs. Perkins was born and raised in Cumberland, Maryland. She graduated from Frostburg University with a degree in elementary education. Since moving to Salisbury in 1975, she has taught first, second and third grades. This is her twenty-fourth year teaching second grade at Beaver Run School. She has two adult children, Amy and Scott. In the community, she serves on the Board of Deaf Independent Living Association where she participates in many activities. In her spare time, she likes to read and travel.
