For the final immunity/reward challenge the North Salisbury Survivors were sent to a website with instant poetry forms. They were given fifteen minutes to create a poem as a team in the form of "I used to...". Below are their excellent poems!

Dellettes

I used to only WATCH Axis TV.
But now I find typing bulletins easy for me!
I always lost my chalk and then I would scream.
But I never worry now because I have E-BEAM!
I once made a test using pencil and paper.
But now I use Turning Point as a test -maker!
If I could plan a winter vacation.
I would use Mapmaker to find my destination!
I never knew palms weren't part of your hand.
But I might now use them for each lesson plan!
I can't believe I made timelines with scissors and glue!
But I can now use Timeliner for my kids to view!
I won't give up my old metal files.
But I might use computer folders with smiles!
I used to be afraid of computer geeks.
But now I myself am a technology freak!!!!

TECH-NOTS-1

I used to be cave teacher illiterate
But now I am a techno-literate nerd
I always stumbled upon good web sites
But I never could find them twice
I once had a 'to be filed' bin
But now I manage my files with a grin
If I could put announcements on Axis TV
I would a famous survivor be
I never go to MYSPACE
But I might make global classroom MY PLACE
I can't find the memo from Janet
But I can make Desire 2 Learn a habit
I won't forget this workshop and all that I have learned
But I might forget my password and that could be a concern
I used to be a lost TECH-NOT hippie
But now I am a proud TECH-KNOW, yippie

Mouseketeers

Now and Then
I used to chase mice
But now I interwrite
I always survived
But I never did thrive
I once had a plan
But now I can scan
If I could go back to the old way of preaching
I would not move ahead with my teaching
I never thought I was boring
But I might now know why kids were snoring
I can't fight the system
But I can gain the wisdom
I won't look back or shed a tear
But I might really need a beer
I used to stay up all night
But now I sleep nice and tight!

Laptop Dancers

I used to operate the Overhead,
But now I use the Document Camera instead.
I always let my emails pile,
But I never put them in a file.
I once lost all the documents I had done,
But now I make file folders for fun.
If I could use Kidspiration all day long,
I would never go wrong.
I never dreamed it would be like this,
But I might survive now because of Chris!
I can't really imagine teaching without my E-Beam,
But I can always depend on my technology team.
I won't be able to teach without using palms and laptops,
But I might still make my technology flops.
I used to know nothing about technology,
But now I am a master of computerology!

TECH-ILLS……

I used to be in overwhelm
But now I am at the helm
I always manage my files
But I never again want paper piles
I once was lost
But now I am found
If I could let all my knowledge out
I would jump up and really shout
I never thought that I could do
But I might share it with a friend or two
I can't believe it
But I can e-beam it
I won't brag
But I might drag
I used to be a tech ill
But now I know the thrill

Chris decided to write a poem, too!

Chris

I used to worry about some of my teachers,
But now I know they're all technology reachers.
I always hope they don't drive me mad,
But I never leave NSS feeling sad.
I once turned Debbie's channels up and down,
But now I know that she too is a clown.
If I could only share all I know,
I would help them grow and grow.
I never say "no" to any teacher,
But I might in this school, find such a creature.
I can't be with you each and every hour,
But I can help you when your technology goes sour.
I won't be able to fix all you stuff,
But I might be able to fix just enough.
I used to do all the work for you,
But now I'll help as "we" work it through.
