2007-2008 Technology Infusion Cohort

Cohort members will receive 3 MSDE credits and a technology bundle which may consist of the following:
  • Tablet Computer
  • **LCD projector  
  • Document Camera
  • TurningPoint System
  • eBeam or Interwrite School Pad
  • Storage cart

Who may apply?

Wicomico County teachers who are responsible for the daily, direct instruction of students, will be able to apply for these bundles. Once selected, teachers having met all of their responsibilities associated with using the bundles, will be allowed to keep their bundles for the length of their employment in the county.

Teachers awarded a bundle must:

  • Attend a 1 day, summer orientation on July 31st or August 6th, 2007
  • Attend monthly professional development activities consisting of 3 hours each month (1 night per month)
  • Participate in an online community including monthly discussions topics
  • Complete formal lessons plans and learning objects utilizing the technology, as well as personal reflections
  • Complete a showcase project (Click on the links for more information and to see samples): Directions; Example 1; Example 2

  • Attend at a 1 day, summer wrap-up activity  (TBA)
  • Maintain an open-door policy for local and state visitors
  • Return equipment that does not fit into your teaching style
  • Guard against theft and breakage
  • Adhere to our AUP
 
 
 
 
 

*Note -Failure to adhere to any of the above may result in the loss of your bundle. You are fully responsible for all pieces of the bundle, checked out to you, as long as you are an employee of Wicomico County Public Schools. Upon resignation or termination from the county or change in job status, the bundle must be returned to the Office of Instructional Technology.  

 * *Replacement bulbs are the responsibility of the schools.
