*Assessment Design:* Includes description of assessment and scoring tool/rubric assessing both the content and technology. Each child will be expected to use Freewrite and write a summary of the story The Chocolate Touch Rubric 3 – Summary contains all five W’s and is written with correct Grammar. 2 – Summary has most elements and few grammatical errors 1 – Summary has few elements and many grammatical errors				*Assessment Design:* Includes description of assessment and scoring tool/rubric assessing both the content and technology. Each child will be expected to use Pico Map and show the order of events in the book - The Chocolate Touch 5 or more events in order –3 3 events in order – 2 1 event – 1 Children will also be assessed on their ability to open the program, input information, and be able to beam results to another classmate or teacher.

Students will use PICOMAP and construct a WEB showing the order of items that turned into chocolate. This web will be used to write notes in a further lesson. The children will share their Webs with a partner to compare order and items.

Objectives: Children Will be able to use the Palm to create a summary paragraph. Procedure: After reading the Novel The Chocolate Touch, the children will brainstorm and answer the 5W’s to a summary. (who, what ,when, where, and how or why). They will use a graphic organizer to write this information down. They will construct a summary paragraph from the graphic organizer. Children will peer edit before using the Freewrite Program.				Objectives: Children Will be able to use the Palm to create a web in sequential order. Procedure: After reading the Novel The Chocolate Touch, the children will work with a partner and the web graphic organizer and put in order items that turned to chocolate in the story. Children will be given the Palms. After a brief review of procedures each child will create their own web using Picomap.
