ASSESSMENT

Assessment Design: Includes description of assessment and scoring tool/rubric assessing both the content and technology.

I will use the Palms to assess how well my students know their spelling words. They will take their spelling test on the Palm using Free Write and then they will beam their scores to me. I will assess how well they can use technology by seeing if they are able to: beam their test to me, correctly title their work using Graffiti, and properly attach the Palm to the keyboard.

Implementation: Includes description of how the assessment expectations will be communicated to students.

I will explain to students what we are going to do in class that day. Next, I will pass out the Palms and keyboards and have the students attach the Palms to the keyboards. Next, I will explain to students that they need to title their work using Graffiti and they will be taking their spelling test on their Palms using Free Write and a keyboard.

Product: Explains what students will produce and how it is connected to what they are learning and includes a sample prototype of a finished product: Includes an explanation of whether you intend to use the student product(s) for other instructional purposes (i.e., sharing, gallery walk, data collection, ongoing instruction).

The students will have a spelling test that they will beam to me at the completion of the lesson. I will use the test to collect data

on how well they are leaning their words. By doing data collection, I will be able to adjust the number of spelling words the

students have based on their progress being made.
