Learning About Our US Constitution

Third grade students at East Salisbury School learned about the US Constitution and what it means to our country. They listened to the Preamble of the US Constitution, watched three short videos from Unitedstreaming and discussed questions such as:

  1. How do rules make our world a better place?
  2. How can you be a good school citizen?
  3. What rules does your classroom have?
Students also responded to questions in the lesson with their TurningPoint ResponseCards or "clickers." The students learned much about the US Constitution, were active participants, and had fun while learning!

The Constitution TurningPoint presentation is available - minus the audio and video files. You must get them separately from the Web. Click on the link, save the TurningPoint presentation and then open it in TurningPoint. The video and audio files in the slides will not load unless you get them from the Web and save them in the same directory as the .ppt file.

The videos are from Unitedstreaming. Search for "Understanding Government" to find the 3 video clips.
