Alphabet Fun in First Grade
Mrs. Hudson's first grade students came to the computer lab at Delmar Elementary and had fun reviewing the Alphabet. They listened to Mrs. Hudson read Chick Chicka Boom Boom by Bill Martin Jr. and John Archambault and then watched a Unitedstreaming video by the same title. Smiling little faces watched the letters of the alphabet climb the coconut tree. What fun it was!
Then the students used Kid Pix to stamp their names on the top of the screen. Below their names they stamped the letters - A, B, C, D, E, and F. They used the Stamp Pad tool to stamp pictures that begin with these letters under the correct letter. You can see that Amber began to incorporate math into this reading activity by making a pattern under the letter D. Clever girl! Salisbury University Intern, Miss Asher, assisted the students in the lab.
