Family Fun NightDelmar families enjoyed Family Fun Night where they visited the computer lab and did an origami activity. The origami activity was to reinforce reading and following directions with the 2nd and 3rd graders. The 2nd graders made a dog and the 3rd graders made a cat by reading directions and folding the paper appropriately. The children were given 2 more origami activities to make at home. The math activities were games to reinforce their addition and subtraction facts. The computer websites were for reinforcing reading and math skills at home with interactive sites. At the conclusion of the evening each 2nd and 3rd grade student was given a free book to take with them. There were also 10 games awarded as doorprizes.
