Everyone is invited to the Friendship Picnic held in May. Students, mentors, parents and families, principals, CEO's, school and business coordinators, and all of our partners enjoy a picnic supper and a ton of FUN! Lollipop the clown paints faces, EXCEL Science Museum shoots off water-bottle rockets, the DJ plays great music, Pat Phillips brings out her team games, with softball, basketball, soccer, and volleyball available. The Photography Club takes Polaroids to give each mentor and student and the Advisory Board blows up balloons and cooks the hamburgers. AmeriCorps! and Student Service Learning volunteers help supervise the sports, and are "mentors for a day". Pepsi provides the beverages and the Wicomico Board of Education Food Services does a great job with the picnic supper. Everyone gets a Wicomico Mentoring Project t-shirt to wear. Transportation is available and reservations are required
