Fernando Visits Glen Avenue!

On September 4th, we had a special visit from Fernando Guerrero, during our PBIS assembly. Fernando, an alumnus of Glen Avenue, was introduced by his former favorite teachers Mrs. Taylor and Ms. Snapp. The talented boxer gave such a charismatic motivational speech to our students, encouraging them to work hard and to follow their dreams. He used his personal experiences to explain how he had to overcome obstacles in order to get where he is today. Through perseverance, Fernando was able to conquer fears of living in a new country and prevailing over language barriers. We are so proud of his accomplishments and we look forward to show our support as he prepares for his next big match in October. Good luck, Fernando!
