SkillsUSA Nationals

The Maryland SkillsUSA competition held in April showcased Maryland’s best and brightest career and technology education students as they compete for medals, prizes, scholarships, state recognition, and the chance to continue on to national and even international competition. On June 20, three students from the Parkside Career and Technology Education Center will travel to Louisville to represent Wicomico County and the State of Maryland at the 52th Annual SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Contest. SkillsUSA is the student service organization for youth studying areas within career and technology education.

It costs approximately $2,000 per person to send these students and three advisors to Louisville, KY. Students have worked hard and saved their money, but we have a long way to go to meet this financial obligation. A contribution from family and friends will allow hard working students the chance of a lifetime, to travel and to compete amongst the best in the nation. Donations may be made to Office of Career and Technology Education, 1015 Beaglin Park Drive, Salisbury MD 21804. Please call 410-677-5144 for information.
