Wicomico County Public Schools Celebrates Its 2017 AP Scholars

Superintendent of Schools Dr. Donna C. Hanlin and the Wicomico County Board of Education are pleased to congratulate the 2017 AP (Advanced Placement) Scholars for Wicomico County Public Schools.

At the end of each challenging college-level AP course, students have the option to take an exam on which high marks may earn them college credit and AP Scholar recognition. The Board of Education and Superintendent of Schools recognized AP Scholars who are current Wicomico County students at the Nov. 16 Awards & Recognitions Night. Here we congratulate all of Wicomico’s 2017 AP Scholars, many of whom are now in college.


National AP Scholars: Wicomico County had six students who achieved at the very highest level of the 2017 AP Program as National AP Scholars. They received an average score of at least 4 on all AP exams taken, and scores of 4 or higher on 8 or more AP exams.

AP Scholars with Distinction received an average grade of at least 3.5 on all AP exams taken AND grades of 3 or higher on five or more of these exams.
